At this Allen home, our tech installed galvanized metal flashing over the bottom of the wooden garage door frame where it meets the concrete. That low corner of wood trim is a common way in for mice and rats, since they can chew through soft wood or squeeze through small gaps at ground level. The metal cover now blocks that spot heading into the cooler months.
