A technician's hand in a black nitrile glove holds a nest of dry grass, twigs and dead leaves containing dead roof rats, with one long dark tail visible, over a green lawn beside a concrete path.

While on a service visit in Frisco, our technician found a roof rat nest made of dry grass, twigs and leaves with dead rats still inside. Wearing gloves, the tech removed the entire nest from the property so the homeowner did not have to handle it. Roof rats often build nests like this as temperatures drop in fall, so a nest can be a sign of more rodent activity nearby.
