A striped bark scorpion with a light tan body and dark stripes crawling on sandy stone next to a patch of green grass

Our tech found this striped bark scorpion crawling on stone right beside the grass at a home in Melissa, TX. This is the most common scorpion in North Texas, and they often move toward houses as November nights get cooler. We inspected the lawn edges and stone areas where scorpions shelter and treated those spots to help keep them away from the house.
